Biography
Riley is a big ball of fun! Riley lives with Tourette's Syndrome and ADHD. These neuro-developmental conditions bring unique challenges, but also incredible strengths: creativity, curiosity, hyper focus on things he loves, and a way of seeing the world that is often different and inspiring. When he is engaged and excited, as I know he would be, his vocal and motor tics may be more visible, as his body tends to express emotion physically. But this is a natural part of how he experiences joy and enthusiasm. I can't promise the excitement won't show itself through tics, but I can promise you that every tic is paired with an enormous amount of interest, drive, and heart. Unfortunately, children with learning differences are too often overlooked, or their potential is underestimated. This creative model represents more than a learning opportunity, it is a chance to nurture someone who doesn't always fit into traditional boxes but who has a burning desire to be seen, contribute, and find his place in the world. To be surrounded by like-minded people and engaged mentors, could help him realise that his passion has a place and a future. I believe this experience could help him grow in confidence, see value in his own unique abilities, and perhaps even discover a path that gives his life direction and meaning, one that is often hard to find for neurodivergent children in a world, not yet built for them. He can do anything he puts his mind to!
